Dorothy Mae "Mimi" (Caudill) Auchampach, age 92, died on July 30, 2011 at North Central Care Facility in Spokane where she had resided for the past 12 years. She was born March 21, 1919 in Spokane, the daughter of the late William Harlan and Celia Melvina (Clark) Caudill. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers; Sylvan Christa "Sid" and Lucille; Edgar Lloyd; Cecil Desmond; Elijah "Lige" and Dagmar "Pat"; Paul James; and 6 sisters; Gladys Wilda (Mrs. Harold) Newby; Pansy Luel (Mrs. Lawrence) Harris; Elizabeth Martha "Dolly" (Mrs. Bill) Erickson; Lura Belva (Mrs. Jess) Wynia; Virginia Dora (Mrs. Bill) Gillingham; Mary Vivian (Mrs. Louis) Pierone; 1 son-in-law Robert W. Inman; and one granddaughter, Luralynn Kay "Lolly" (Adamkowski) Powell.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Gloria K. "Kay" (Vandiver) Inman of Spokane, 1 granddaughter, Lisa Frederic Reuter and husband, Luther Reuter, of Arizona City, Arizona; 1 grandson, Corey Norman Frederic of Chandler, AZ; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Spokane. Much like Frank Sinatra, she led a full life, and always "Did It Her Way". While she resided in Spokane for most of her life, she loved to travel and spent a few years in Anchorage, Alaska. She worked as a dispatcher for the Alaska Police Department and cooked for the Alaska Railroad for several years.

Graveside services will be held at Marshall Cemetery on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1:00PM.
