Eleanor Johnson, 83, of Tylertown, died Nov. 4, 2003, at her residence.
Visitation is 5 to 8:30 tonight at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Tom Burris and the Rev. Carlis Braswell officiating. Burial will be in Tylertown Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born July 9, 1920, in Jackson, Mich. She was the daughter of Garnet and Blanche Elnora Foor Wilson.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the Walthall County Co-Op.She was a longtime member of Centerville Baptist Church at Lexie,where she taught a Sunday school class for over 50 years.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jewel Johnson who died Sept. 22, 2003; one daughter, Beverly Jeanne Johnson; and one son, Michael Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include three sons, David Glen Johnson, Daniel "Danny"Harley Johnson and Thomas "Tommy" Keith Johnson, all of Tylertown; one daughter, Jewel Johnson Vaught Greer of Tylertown;one daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnson of Tylertown; one brother,Lloyd Wilson of Florida; and six grandchildren, David and his wife Rebecca Vaught, Jennifer Johnson, Joey Johnson, Jeremy Johnson,Jeffrey Johnson and Julie Johnson.
Pallbearers will be David Vaught, Jeremy Johnson, Jewel Holmes Jerry Barnes, George Alford and Nolan Rayborn.
