Mrs. Bessie G. Boone, widow of Everett Morris Boone passed away Saturday, February 5, 1983 at the Independence Sanitarium Hospital after several weeks illness.

She was born March 29, 1892, Callaway County, Missouri, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Pickerell) Hill. She spent her girlhood in the High Point neighborhood home of her parents and was a member of the High Point Christian Church.

She married Everett Morris Boone the 12th of March, 1913. They spent the early years of their married life on the farm in Montgomery County, coming to the Kansas City-Independence area in 1929, making their home in Independence and were members of the First Christian Church.

Mr. Boone passed away April 7, 1963, at Independence. Four children were born to this couple, all survive; Mrs. Dorothy B. Patterson of Independence, Duard Morris Boone of Kansas City, Charles Arthur Boone of Thomson, GA., and Mrs. Anita Krajicek of Irving, TX.; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

As a young woman, she played the organ for High Point Church and wrote the weekly High Point neighborhood items for the Montgomery Standard newspaper. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and a friend to many. During the past few years, she suffered poor health and was in the Park Place Nursing Home at Raytown, MO. She would have celebrated her 91st birthday next month.

She was a charter member of the Boone Family Association of Cal.Mont. Her only sister, Mrs. Florence (Hill) Kettle of Montgomery City, MO., passed away in 1966.

Family visitations at the Carson Funeral Home were from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, the 7th, Independence, MO. The funeral was at the Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday, burial was at the Floral Hills Cemetery, Blue Ridge and Gregory Blvd., Kansas City, MO.

Her sweet personality touched the lives of her many friens, she will be remembered dearly in the hearts of her family and friends.
