Ronald Winford Jackson lost his life in an automobile accident, Sunday, May 14th, 1967, while serving an LDS mission in North Dakota. The accident occurred at White Sands, North Dakota, as Ronald was returning from a function on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, to his place of residence at New Town, North Dakota . One other person was killed and 11 were injured in the accident. He had served 15 months of his mission.

Ronald was born September 4th, 1946 in Provo, Utah, a son of Carl W. and Lois Johnson Jackson of Springville, Utah. He attended schools in Springville and graduated from LDS Seminary and Springville High School in 1964.

He was a former member of the Springville Hobble Creek Riding Club. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and horseback riding.

Survivors include his parents of Springville; two brothers and one sister, Howard Jackson, Longmont Colorado; Steven Jackson, Springville; and Mrs. Stephen (Susan) Rowland, Orem Utah; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson of Lakeview, Utah; and great grandfather, Julius Johnson of Lakeview, Utah.
