Bridgeport, Conn., April 11--
Funeral services for Jonathan Grout, prominent yachtsman and a lawyer here for many years, are to be held in St. George's Church today. Mr. Grout died in Bridgeport Hospital yesterday. He lived in Fairfield.
Mr. Grout was commodore of the Black Rock Yacht Club in 1933 when the club won the championship of the Atlantic class. He was born in Brooklyn fifty years ago, the son of Edward M. Grout, former borough President of Brooklyn and Comptroller of New York City for two years. He had practiced law here since 1917.
He leaves his widow, three sons, and a sister.
