MULLINS - James O. Chestnut, 58, died Wednesday at a Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home with burial in Devotion Gardens.
Mr. Chestnut was born in Marion County, a son of the late L. W. Chestnut and Mrs. Maggie Bryant Chestnut. He was an army veteran of World War II and a retired bookkeeper.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Hammond Chestnut of Mullins; two sons, James A. Chestnut of Gallipolis, Ohio and Robert W. Chestnut of Mullins; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Etheridge, Mrs. Sadie Wren and Mrs. Esther Moyers, all of Charleston, and Mrs. Pearl Sawyer of Marion; and 1 grandson.
