He passed away Friday afternoon, January 20, 2012, in Wills Point.
Charles was born December 26, 1944, in Tyronza, Arkansas, the son of Harvey Lee Franklin and Ida Webb Franklin. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. Charles worked for First Company in Dallas as a tool and die maker. In April 1975, he married Evelyn Bennett Truelove in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Charles lived in Garland prior to moving to Wills Point thirty years ago. He enjoyed gardening and making ceramics. He was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Charles is survived by his wife, Evelyn Franklin, of Wills Point; two sons, Alan Truelove, of Mesquite and Ricky Truelove, of Garland; two daughters, Diane McCormick, of Dike and Vicki Maltise, of Dallas; three brothers, Howard Franklin, of Dallas, Joel Franklin, of Seven Points and Larry Franklin, of Seven Points; two sisters, Irene Barrier, of Savannah, Tennessee and Kathleen Adkins, of Sherman; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
