Pete Williamson, 84 of Magee, passed away Monday,January 23, 2012 at Magee General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial will be in Magee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the funeral home.

Pete served in the U.S. Army for some 8 years in Korea. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jackie S. Williamson, Magee; children, Beth Williamson, Magee, Bob Williamson, Magee and Stacie McBride (Mike), Laurel; grandchildren, Chad Gilbert, Matt McBride, Koda Williamson and Jordon Williams; great-grandchildren, Raven Williamson, Tye Williamson, Mallory Gilbert and Madelyn Gilbert; sister, Linda Faye Anderson, Jackson; brother in law, Tommy Stubbs (Carolyn), Magee, Denny Lewallen, TX and Charles Stubbs, Meridian and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave F. & Pearl Sullivan Williamson; brother, Bob Williamson and sisters, Jean Dale Shivers and Elsie Belle Barnes. Pallbearers are Denny Lewallen, Hank Lewallen, Mooney Lewallen, Kenny Stubbs, James Ingles, Brent Johnson, Rex Magee and Jeremy Cox. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Stubbs, Robert Daughdrill, John Ingles and Mike McBride.
