BENJAMIN ‘RED' MINEO
June 16, 1918 – Nov. 22, 2004

Benjamin "Red" Mineo, 86, 5019 Memphis Ave., Sandusky.
Died Monday morning, Nov. 22, 2004, at home after a lengthy illness. He was born June 16, 1918, in Sandusky, to Carl and Anna Mineo. He retired, after 37 years, from New Departure Hyatt and was an Army veteran serving during W.W. II. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Mr. Mineo is survived by his wife, Blondena (Boles) Mineo of Sandusky; daughters, Pat McDavitt of Mansfield, Ohio, and Sue (Terry) Camp of Sandusky; grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Lemaster, Nicole (Tom) Thompson and Kristi McDavitt, all of Mansfield, Terry Camp Jr. of Bellevue, Brian (Jami) Camp of Huron, and Brandon Camp of Sandusky; great-grandchildren, Darren, Tracia, Tori, Ally and Kennedy; sisters; Ida Kugler of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and newphews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Mineo; a sister Margaret; and a brother, Jack Mineo. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Friday in Groff Funeral Home. 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, where funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Marty Nassr of Sts. Peter and Paul Church officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870; or the American Heart Association. Northeast Ohio Affiliate, Inc., 1689 E. 115th St., Cleveland, OH 44106-3988.
