LAYTON - Keith LeRoy Martin, age 87, beloved father, grandfather and grandpa great, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Roy, Utah.

Keith was born February 19, 1917, the youngest of seven children of Alexander William Martin and Pearl Castle Martin, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. His early years where spent on a family farm in Swan Valley, Idaho.

He met his wife, Norma Sylvia Stanger, at a dance at Windemere Gardens. They were married on July 27, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. They moved to Layton, Utah in 1944. Together they raised six children.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the civil engineering department at Hill Air Force Base for 37 years, retiring in 1980. He received many service awards. He also worked part time at Olson Chevrolet and the Layton Sugar Factory.

He loved his family, get togethers, music, dancing, working in his yard and his dog, 'Cookie'.

Keith is survived by two daughters and two sons: Donna Warren of Roy, UT; Linda Skidmore of Kansas; Steven and Karen Martin of Arizona; and Michael Martin of Ogden, UT; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Joyce and Sally Martin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma, two sons, Kenneth LeRoy Martin and Robert Keith Martin, one grandson Jeffrey Keith Martin, his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Donna would especially like to thank the many friends and staff at Heritage Park Care Center and Country Pines for their love and support.

Funeral services will be held at Monday, October 18, 2004 at 2:00 p. m. Lindquists Layton Mortuary, 1867 Fairfield Road.

Friends and Family may call at the mortuary on Sunday, October 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 1 to 1:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquists Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The greatest gift I ever had,

came from God, I called him Dad!
