Marjorie M. Whitmore Battle Creek Marjorie M. Whitmore, age 69, of Battle Creek, died Sunday November 6, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center. Marjorie was born September 15, 1942 in Hastings, to Luther L. and Ruth E. (Dunn) Lenz and lived in area all of her life. Marjorie was a graduate of the Kellogg Consolidated Hickory Corners High School. She was employed by the American Legion Hospital, Community Hospital, Fieldstone Behavioral Center and retired in 2005 from the Battle Creek Health System. Marjorie was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and loved working puzzles. Marjorie is survived by her husband James Whitmore, a sister Janet (John) Wachsmuth of Bastrop, TX., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Brian Edward Whitmore. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Association or the Michigan Heart Association .
