Johnnie moved from Caruthersville, Missouri at an early age. He retired from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local #668. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, working on cars and small handyman projects. One of his great joys in life was being a great supporter to his mother's ministry at New Faith Temple Church, which he continued to support after her passing.
He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Veronica Bond, Crystal Jackson, Racquel Simmons all of Saginaw, Michigan, Kristina (Michael) DeLuze of Kailua, Hawaii, two sons, Johnnie Jr. III ( Shontrell) Simmons, Jonathan Simmons both of Saginaw, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Simmons, Saginaw, Michigan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Simmons Jr. and Roberta Paige.
