Carl was born to Adolf Michael Munster-Swendsen and Magdalene Emilie Erichsen. He had seven siblings: Agnete, Poul Emil, Else, Ragna, Gudrun, Vibeke, and Otto. Carl arrived in Canada on 21 April 1925. He worked his way across the country and finally settled in Calgary, Alberta. He married Hope Rita Mary Salway on 19 June 1946 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They had five children. Carl was a well respected piano technician. He and Hope were also known for their fabulous garden parties and musical evenings in their home. Children and grandchildren fondly remember Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's home with lots of music, fun, food, and love. Grandpa's birthday (Halloween) was celebrated with danish pastry and chocolate milk.
