Funeral services for Peggy Miladeen Luker, 81, of Brownwood, Texas, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 28, 2012, at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Smithey officiating. Interment followed in the Baggett Creek Cemetery in Comanche County.
Mrs. Luker passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Oak Ridge Manor.
She was born May 28, 1930, in Brownwood, Texas, the only child of James Vernon and Ada Belle Goodson Taylor. She grew up in Brown County and attended school in Early, Texas. She was a homemaker. On June 15, 1946, she was married to Harvey Dwain Teague, and together they had two sons. On May 1, 1967, she was married to William E. Luker in Enid, Okla. Mrs. Luker was a resident of Brown County most of her life and was a member of the 4th and Stewart Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Teague of Austin, Texas, and Terry and wife Pam of Brownwood; and two step-sons, Glen Zane Luker and wife Jeanine of Lipan and Paul Ray Luker. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Travis Teague and wife Aimee of Pflugerville, Megan Teague Delgros of Bangs, John Teague and wife Emily of Flower Mound and Brian Teague and wife Melissa of Fort Worth; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Luker; her parents; and a step-father, William Lawrence Heard.
