Oscar Martin Schneider Sr.,91,of Columbus,passed away June 24 at Columbus Care Center in Columbus.
He was born Feb.11,1911 in Elm Creek community near Seguin to Edward and Alma (Marx) Schneider.
On Oct.29,1938,he married Gladys Brune Schneider.He served in the U.S. Army with the 331st Engineers in Alaska and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6113.He was a construction supervisor with Crystal Pools in Houston.
Funeral services were held Wednesday,June 26 at Henneke Funeral Home with the Rev.John Hunsicker officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Mark Brune,Irving Schneider,Ronnie Briggs,Charles Mount,Melvin Reiland and A.J. Brune III.
