Dan L. Garrett

Dan L. Garrett, 58, of North Platte passed away Jan. 22, 2008, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. He was born July 23, 1949, in Mullen to Eugene and Joan Garrett. He graduated from Mullen High School in 1967. Dan was a member of the first graduating class of 1970 Haws Plywood Home Improvement and from Mid Plains Voc-Tech College June 1, 1970. He was a member of the Army Reserves and served his time in the Army. He was a dedicated self-employed carpenter. He was a proud member of the Platte River Sportsman Club. He loved fishing, hunting and target shooting, and he enjoyed spending time with all his wonderful friends and relatives.
Survivors include his wife Pat of North Platte; son Stephen; sister Becky (Gary) Anders; aunt Gladys Moseburg; nephew David (Debra) Anders and their children; niece Trisha (Chad) Sarven and their daughter; and numerous other relatives.
The body was cremated as Dan requested. Burial will be at a later date in the Garrett Family Cemetery plot in Cedarville Cemetery in Mullen. A memorial has been established. Arrangements are with Adams and Swanson Funeral Home.
