Marion C "Ickeybod" Allen, 82, of McLeansboro, died at 8:45 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 1999, at Harrisburg, Medical Center. He was a retired farmer.
He was born on January 10, 1917, in Hamilton County, a son of Thomas Marion and Ida F. (Thompson) Allen. On March 2, 1939, he married Iva Trout, who survives. He was a member of Dale Pentecost Church.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 1999, at Gholson Funer Home. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Digby Cemetery in Dale.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Frances Smith of Broughotn; two grandchildren, Bill and David Smith; and three greatgrandchildren, Zebulon, Sarah and David Smith.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers and three sisters.
