"Mrs. Gail Alice Furry, 68, of R. R. 3, Shippensburg, died at 5:05 Sunday afternoon at Franklin Farms, where she had been a guest since Oct. 4. She had been in ill health three years. Born on March 23, 1900, in Edenville, she was a daughter of the late William and Emma M. Poe Carmack. She attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Scotland. Her husband, David Edward Furry, died in January 1946. Surviving are a son, David E. Furry, R. R. 2; five daughters, Mrs. Ralph Betz, R, R. 3, Shippensburg; Mrs. William Parr, R. R. 2, Fayetteville; Mrs. James A. Parr, R. R. 1, Fayetteville; Mrs. Carl Faircloth, Martinsburg, W. Va., and Mrs. Sherman Mason, Gettysburg; 21 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Arthur Biesecker, Waynesboro. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sellers funeral home, with the Rev. Wilber L. Sites Jr. officiating. Burial will be made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m."
