ESSEX - Nicholas Wells Booth, 21, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at his home in Essex.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas on Nov. 13, 1990, son of Robert Booth and Kathryn (Lamb) Jarvis.

Nick was a senior at Champlain College majoring in international business and a graduate of Essex High School, Class of 2008. He was fluent in French and enjoyed using conversational French with family and friends. As a young boy, he loved to spend time at the beach in Maine during the summer. He enjoyed skiing, skating, his cat, Howl, spending time with friends and family, photography, trying new restaurants and foods, and hula-hooping on beautiful summer days. His true passion was music and traveling to large concert venues to hear his favorite band or DJ. He will always be remembered for his love of life and charismatic personality.

He is survived by his father, Robert Booth of Essex; mother, Kathryn (Lamb) Jarvis and step- father, Michael Jarvis, of Essex Junction; grand- mother, Dorothy Lamb of Springfield, Va.; brother, Christopher Booth; step- sister, Rachael Jarvis; stepbrother, Eric Jarvis; aunts and uncles, Ellen and Bill Rorrer, Paul and Tammy Lamb, and Linda Burden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visiting hours held.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Essex Junction, with the Reverend Ryan Gackenheimer officiating. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by A. W. Rich Funeral Home - Essex Chapel, 57 Main St., Essex Junction, VT 05452.
