Nathaniel Byrge, 86, Dies In Knoxville – Nathaniel F. Byrge, 86, of Huntsville, Tenn. Passed away at the Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Wednesday, Sept. 30 after an illness of three years. He was the son of the Robin Byrge and the late Elizabeth Phillips Byrge, a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Survivors, wife, Betty Byrge of Huntsville, Tenn.; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Crowley, Mrs. Lillie Sexton, Mrs. Kathleen west all of Huntsville; Mrs. Edna Howard, Mrs. Ivalene Strunk both of Knoxville; four sons, Paul Byrge of Huntsville; Winfield Byrge and James Byrge both of Knoxville; Fred Byrd of Cedar Grove, N.J.; thirty nine grandchildren; sixty seven great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; one sister, Ellen Reed of Aflex, Ky.; two brothers, Linsay Byrge of Detroit, Michigan, Murley Byrge of Pinson Fort, Ky. Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Huntsville Saturday Oct. 3 with the Rev. Dale Smith and Rev. William Cather officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery.
