He served in World War II in the 682nd Port Co., QMC and participated in the Africa, Sicily, and Italy campaigns. Mr. Williamson worked for Dixie Home Stores, later to become Winn-Dixie stores, for 47 years, retiring in 1981. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America.
