Bertha Huff daughter of Randal Hayes Huff and Ida Malinda Bohanan. Born approximate Dec 1908, she is listed as age 1 5/12 months with her parents on their 1910 Federal Census. Bertha is listed age 1 year 7 months 28 days on her death card. Cause of death is listed as Brain Fever. As in all families the legal record don't always match the family tradition pass down. According to our family tradition Kenny Huff her younger brother my grandfather told us Bertha died from swallowing a cherry seed at a young age. Since my grandfather's mother died while he was young and his father moved them to Arkansas, Bertha's burial location remains a family mystery.
