He is also survived by his daughter, Mary (James) Bell of Evanston, Illinois; by two grandchildren: Jonathan W. Bell of Evanston, Illinois and Elizabeth M. Bell of Evanston, Illinois; by two sisters: Vera (Guy) Schmidt of Celina; Evelyn Heinfeld of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by an infant brother, Edwin Warner.
Wilbur was a 1939 graduate of New Bremen High School. He retired as the manager of Auglaize Landmark grain elevator in New Bremen, New Knoxville and Saint Marys. He was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and making toys for children. He loved spending time with his family.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Dr. Ed Bray, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, where memorial gifts may be given to Saint Paul's United Church of Christ; Joint Township Palliative Care Service or the Cardiac Care Center of the Cleveland Clinic.
