Last Will and Testament of John Deeter
Be it remembered that on this January 6, 1894 the following last will and testament of John Deeter was filed and presented for probate in the clerks office of the Delaware Circuit Court in words and figures as follows.

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all, I John Deeter of Union twp, Delaware County Indiana, do hereby make this my last will and testament as follows to wit:
Item 1st I hereby will, devise and bequeath to my wife Catharine Deeter, all of my property that the laws of the State would give her in case I had no will, and at my death I devise all my debts and funeral expenses first to be paid.
Item 2nd. I will, devise and bequeath to each of my children: Mary Deeter, Josephus Deeter and George Deeter $141,61 (sic written this way), I having received those amounts from their grandmothers estate.
Item3. I have paid out for my son Rudolph Deeter $232 and I will devise and bequeath that amount and 8% thereon from this date to each of my other children before Rudolph is to have any more, and after the other children are each paid the above sums the 8% thereon as set out above, then I will and bequeath the residue of my estate to all my children equally.
Witness my hand and seal this 14th day of August 1886.
