Mrs. Dorothy Callaway Martin, 89, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Belle View Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. Mrs. Martin was a native of El Dorado and a resident of the Martinville Community outside of Hamburg for over 73 years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Martinville Baptist Church and she loved gospel music. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Haywood "Woodie" Martin in 1984 and Clyde E. Edwards, Sr., in 1995; two grandchildren, Tabor Allen Martin & Chad Allen Martin; two great-grandchildren, Michael Drake Martin and Meghan Brooke Martin; her parents, Elisha Ewell & Johnnie Floyd Callaway; two sisters, Dean Callaway Attwood and Polly Callaway Wilson and two brothers, Bill & Jack Callaway.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Savage and husband, Bo, Gladys Gulledge and husband, Rev. Edward, and Judy Bates and husband, Gene, all of Hamburg; a special daughter, JoAnn Martin of Lowell; six sons, James E. "Sonny" Martin and wife, Charlene, of Crossett; Joe Martin and wife, Pat; Freddie Martin and wife, Joy; Bobby Martin and wife, Sylvia; Jimmy Martin and wife, Debbie, and Randy Martin and wife, Lacey, all of Hamburg; a sister, Virginia "Nita" Callaway Rogers of Shreveport, Louisiana; 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Martinville Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan McRae and Rev. Eugene Howie officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Martin, Terry Martin, Jamie Martin, Buzzy Savage, Barry Savage, Nick Martin, Brad Martin, Blake Martin, Brian Martin, Neil Martin, John Martin, Paul Gulledge, Wade Knight, Jack Pruitt, Sky Martin and Scott Stevens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martinville Baptist Church, c/o Mr. Barry Savage, 129 Wright Street, Hamburg, AR 71646.
