Amos Robert Eastwood was a son of John Barnett "Barney" Eastwood and Gertrude Mae Flowers Eastwood of Gaston Co., NC. He was married to Kathleen Helton Eastwood for 63 years. They were the parents of three children:
1. Jack Eastwood (Mary), Gastonia, NC;
2. Jill Eastwood Barber, TN; and
3. Yvonne Eastwood b. 3/12/1940 d. 9/18/1940.
In addition to his wife and above-named two children, he was also survived by grandchildren: Adrian Eastwood and Gregory and David Barber; great-grandchildren Greg and Robbie Barber; nieces and nephews Ervin and Patsy Costner, Billy and Frances Costner, Donald and Jan Costner, and Gary Petty; and a brother-in-law Joe Petty, Stanley, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Eastwood and sisters Agnes Eastwood Petty and Mable Eastwood Costner.
Amos was an Army veteran of WW II. He worked as an electrician with Bisnar Electric, was a former member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors; former member of VFW; and an avid bowler since 1965.
