"Survivors include his wife, Melissa M. Ackman; son, John Lane Ackman III; daughters, Christina E. Ackman, Margaret Cunningham of Newport, Ky. and Jacquelyn Roche of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren and his mother, Marie Ackman of Williamstown.
"Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. July 9 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1206 Maple Lane in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. July 10 at the church. Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Garden.
"Ackman was recently the Capital Campaign's Chairman; therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions go to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church Capital Campaign, 1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage, Ky. 40223-2406."
