Thank you to the late Darlene Hise for creating this memorial.

Henry Marion Bean was the son of Jonathan Bean and Catherine (née Skeef) Bean. He is listed in "The Clan MacBean in North America, Inc.: A Genealogy and History, Vol. II" under reference number 4325. According to that genealogy and history, he was born on March 28th, 1809, but his grave stone gives his year of birth as 1818. The genealogy also states that he died at the age of 43 from drinking calomel, a compound of mercury chloride used in the 19th century as a purgative. He was the largest landowner in Gallatin County at the time of his death.

He married Margaret Hise, daughter of Jacob William Hise and Rosanna Seefried. His brother, James D. Bean (FAG# 9048401 and born 1811) married Margaret's sister, Sophia Caroline Hise (FAG# 26749972), making their children double cousins.

Contributor KJB found that, according to https://gw.geneanet.org/stanfieldk?n=bean&oc=&p=henry+marion, his birthplace was Lincoln County, Tennessee.
