She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a Charter member of Prospect Grange #1235.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Elbert Proffitt; son, Leonard Elbert Proffitt; and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Sue Proffitt.
Survivors include Granddaughter Susan Byrd and husband Randy Great-granddaughter: Jessica Pigg and husband David
