Bernice Louise Boone is the daughter of Lowell Albert Boone and Grace Reletta Boone (nee Engle).

Bernice Piatt Bubel, 91, of Brockton died Tuesday at Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mrs. Bubel was born in Olivet, S.D., on Aug. 21, 1913, daughter of the late Albert and Grace Engle Boone. She resided in Carverton for 50 years and was employed as a waitress by the Irem Temple, Dallas, and various restaurants in the area prior to moving to Brockton 20 years ago. She was a 50-year member of Carverton United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 31 years, Donald Piatt, and her second husband, Joseph Bubel. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leroy Piatt; brothers, Kenneth Boone and John Boone.
She is survived by a son, Larry Piatt and his wife, Ruth, Trucksville; brothers, Lowell Boone, Noxen; Jay Boone, East Otto, N.Y.; Jerry Boone, Millville; sisters, Bertha Thompson, Carverton; Maryann Welch, Rochester, N.Y.; Audrey Achuff, Pikes Creek; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Timothy V. Cappucci, pastor of Sweet Valley Community Bible Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Franklin Township. Friends may call Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.
Bernice`s family would like to thank the staff at both Hospice Community Care and Meadows Nursing Center for the exceptional care and kindness she received.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 71 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
