Diane Nielsen of Spanish Fork, UT was born October 16, 1961 and passed away January 24, 2012 at the age of 50 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, UT surrounded by family.

Diane grew up and spent her life in Spanish Fork, UT. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School. For most of her life she was deeply involved in the health care industry being able to complete her CNA license and help care for troubled youth, and the elderly.

She loved to read on her down time, take long walks through her neighborhood, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride and her family was always the most important aspect of her life.

Over the last decade of her life she struggled with illness that kept her from work, but despite her difficult situation she did her best to overcome it and live her life to its fullest. She strongly believed in staying true to yourself and finding courage in desperate situations.

Diane is predeceased by her father William A. Nielsen, mother Jane Diamond Nielsen, brother Jeffrey C. Nielsen (wife Janice Nielsen) and sister Teresa Nielsen.

She is survived by her two children son Cody V. Nielsen (wife Cara Nielsen) and Alyse Neibaur (husband Shawn Neibaur) and her sister Patricia Wilson along with 3 beautiful grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to give great thanks to the staff at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center who helped her remain comfortable and gave support to her family who waited with her until her last moments. We would also like to thank the Neibaur family (Dale and Teresa) for being so supportive in our time of need.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.

Family and friends may visit at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the cemetery.
