Services for Kenneth A. Byerly, 65, of 2231 E. Twenty-third St., who died of cancer Thursday at his home, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens cemetery.

Mr. Byerly, a life-long Des Moines resident, retired in 1983 as a sheet metal worker for Wood Sheet Metal Inc. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local No. 45.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; 2 sons, Dennis of Des Moines, and Michael of Mesa, Arizona; 2 sisters, Frances Henderson of Chicago, Illinois, and Maxine Lajko of San Antonio, Texas; and 3 grandchildren.

Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
