Graduated Pennsylvania State University, Class of 1919. Retired engineer for Stone & Webster Engineering Corp. Awarded Order of Silver Beaver for service to Cub Scouts of America.

In 1900 he, his parents, his two siblings, and his maternal grandfather lived in a house they owned, with a mortgage, at 320 Haynes Street in Johnstown, PA. His father worked as a city clerk, and his grandfather worked as a pattern maker.

In 1910 he and his parents and two siblings lived in the same house. His father worked for the health department.

In 1920 he and his parents and brother Milton lived there. They owned their home, mortgage free. His father worked as a city clerk, and Milton as a machinist in a steel mill.

In 1930 he and his wife and their son lived in a house they were renting for $60 a month at 1466 Kelton Avenue in Dormont, PA. They did have a radio. He worked as a sales engineer selling circuit breakers.

In 1940 he and Ruth and their two sons lived in a house they owned at 213 Edward Avenue in Mount Lebanon, PA. Their home was valued at $8000. He worked as a salesman for National Church Supply.
