Mrs. Elizabeth Jordon died Wed. at the home of her daughter Mrs. Anna M. Humble at Corydon, Iowa, where she went to live last Sept. after the death of her husband. She was born in Lancaster, PA on Dec. 5, 1827, being 82 years and three days of age at her death. She was married to H. B. Jordon at Enon, Ohio on Oct. 15, 1852. Two of their four children survive her; Mrs. Anna Humble of Corydon and John R. Jordon of Brighton. They came to Brighton in 1857 and for more than half a century she was a citizen of this place.
The remains were brought to Brighton last evening on the Rock Island and the funeral is being held this afternoon at 2:30 from the home of her son John, conducted by Rev. E. G. Beyers, and Miss Cotter who will sing. The burial will be in the Brighton Cemetery by the side of her husband.
