Rev. Daniel A. Lapinski, 55, was a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo for over 25 years. He attended Buffalo State College, Canisius College, Buffalo and Christ the King Seminary, East Aurora. He served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972. He was ordained by Bishop Edward Head on November 17, 1979 and was assigned as assistant pastor of Mother of Divine Grace Parish, Cheektowaga. He also served as associate pastor of Holy Spirit, Buffalo; St. Stephen, Grand Island and St. Mary of the Assumption, Lancaster.
In 1993, Father Lapinski was assigned as pastor of the joint parishes of St. James Major, Westfield and St. Thomas More, Ripley. In 1999, he became pastor of Queen of Martyrs parish, Buffalo, and remained there until his death.
