She married Ernest Isaac Hatch (nephew of her sister's husband Charles mcClellan) on May 10, 1991 In Colonia Juarez. Everyone called this the perfect match.

In 1902 their first daughter was born and died the same day. Lillian was poorly, too but survived. The next years brought happiness to Lillian and Ernest and had five more children: Lillian, Fleeta, Seville, Genevieve and Roy. The exodus followed and they moved to El paso where Stanford was born and died. Lillian once again was on death's door. A year or two later another baby was born, Herman on March 27, 1916. She became very ill and died on the 30th of April.
Lillian was a fine seamstress, crocheted, knitted, tatted and did a lot of embroidering. She also enjoyed gardening and with the help of Eto, a Japanese boy who lived with them, she adorned her tables with vegetables and flowers.
