Christopher W. Abel, 39, of Cassopolis, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Elkhart General Health System, Elkhart. He was born August 23, 1972 in South Bend, Indiana to Phillip and Donna (Wukovits) Abel. He married Jennifer Snyder on July 29, 2008 in Cassopolis.
Chris is survived by his wife, Jennifer Abel of Cassopolis; one daughter, Elizabeth Abel; parents, Phil and Donna Abel of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Joan Wukovits of South Bend; one sister, Laura "Laurie" (Dennis) Molnar of Mishawaka; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Tracy (Williams) Snyder of Cassopolis; sister-in-law, Elecia Hunsberger, and brother-in-law, Ronny Snyder, both of Cassopolis.
Chris will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis in a private family interment service. A memorial service for Chris is being planned for early February.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Christopher Abel Memorial Fund, c/o Greater Niles Community Federal Credit Union, 1050 East State Street, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
