Obituary

March 1st, 1923, about 9:00 p.m., Miss Annie Byrd departed this life. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Elder R.H. Pittman, of Luray, Va. He alluded very truly to her quiet home life and her trust in God. Her remains were then committed to the earth in Beallsville cemetery.

Annie was one of those noble women whose many little deeds of kindness will never be known; what she did was done quietly but always cheerfully and with the manner of having done nothing.

She spent all her life in her home near Dawsonville, where she was born, and where she will be sadly missed. She was a lover of children and never failed to give them a kindly greeting. Many such traits could be enumerated but for sake of brevity, truly a good woman is gone.
