Cathy Barton was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend to many. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Mike, for 42 years when her life was taken on January 19th, 2012.

She was born September 5th, 1951 in La Grande, Oregon, to Doug and Norma Riggs. Cathy grew up with her two older sisters, Ann and Marilyn, and her younger brother, Jack, in Council, Idaho. Cathy and her family moved to Boise, Idaho when she was a young girl, where she attended Borah high school and met her husband to be.

Cathy and Mike were married September 19th, 1969 and lived in Boise, Idaho where they had their son, Joe in 1970. In 1978 they moved to McCall, Idaho where she lived the rest of her life. Cathy always lived her life to the fullest.

Cathy loved her retail business, Selectable Collectibles Gift Shop. In 2010 Cathy started a sales representative job where she traveled around the northwest offering wholesale products to retail gift shops.

In 1989 her son married her very loved daughter-in-law Kim and they blessed her with two granddaughters, Kaitlyn in 1992, and Chloe in 1994. Cathy loved to watch her granddaughters grow and enjoy life. She demanded everyone listen intently when her granddaughter, Kaitlyn would sing for the family and she loved to burn popcorn and make fudge with her granddaughter, Chloe.

Cathy looked forward to the camping season every summer where the whole family would come together for no reason at all other than to enjoy each other, share silly stories and ride motorcycles. Cathy was the glue that made our family bond and she is missed dearly by us all.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Joe; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Chloe; father, Doug; sisters, Ann and Marilyn; brother, Jack and extended family and friends. Cathy is so loved and missed by all.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, 100 West Forest Street, McCall, Idaho at 2:00 pm.
