Joyce Egbert Marcy passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family.

She was born September 9, 1924 in Logan, Utah to Samuel Roy and Margaret Morrell Egbert. She married Wendell Bruce Marcy on August 4, 1951 in the Logan, Utah.

They moved to Magna in 1957 and raised their family. Joyce earned a degree as a dietitian, and worked for several of the hospitals in the valley. She ended her career with the Granite School District.

Joyce was loved by all that knew her because of her great sense of humor, and her dedication to fiends and family. Her greatest love was her family especially her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her children, Margaret Ann Westenskow, Carol Louise (Michael Alan) Crank, Robert Brent (Gayleen) Marcy, and Diane Joyce Marcy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell; and son, Michael Alan.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 South, Magna. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn.
