Obituary: Amanda Bunnell, beloved wife of Seneca Bunnell and an affectionate mother of six children, was born in Butler Co., O(hio)September 18, 1931. In early life she, with her parents, moved to Indiana, and from thence, in February, 1870, to Wayne County, Illinois near Blue Point, where she lived until Oct 29, 1875, when she was met by the summons of death, calling her from the troubles and affliction of this world to an everlsting inheritance at God's right hand in Heaven. She was a kind and affectionate wife, and pious, loving and tender mother. The husband, children and relations, with many warm friends both of Illinois and Indiana are left to mourn her loss; yet thank God they sorrow not as those who have no hope, for death to her was gain. She was a beloved member of the M.P.Church South. She lived a christian and died int he triumph of faith. Jsut before bidding adieu to earth, she expressed her willingness to die. To her husband and friends she said that she was ready and prepared to go. And now the will of God be done. May God comfort and support the bereaved family and bring them to meet where parting will be no more.
