Luther Garland Brake, 80, of Provo, died Sunday, May 15, 1988 at an Orem Care Center of cancer. He was born May 12, 1908 in Springville to Oscar Roy and Hannah Electa Wood Brake. He married Lila Gale April 19, 1926 in Springville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in December of 1971. He is survived by three daughters and two sons, Darrell Brake, Sandy; Mrs. Elmo (Lorna) Hoagland, Springville; Mrs. Roy (JoAnn) Doll, Sacrament, CA; Mrs. Rex (Mary) Craig, Provo; Lynn Brake, South Australia; 18 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bessie Isabell, California; Merlene Beardall, Electa Clark, Marrianne Caine, Holly Dowhaniuk, all Springville; Edith Baum, Arixona; Bern Taylor, Toole; Clarence Taylor, Spanish Fork; Mark Taylor, Eureka; Duane Taylor, Spanish Fork; and Ralph Taylor, Arizona.
