Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Metzger was born March 2, 1892, in Fredericksburg and was married to Alfred C. Metzger Feb. 20, 1917, in Fredericksburg. He died in 1944. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and a housewife.
Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. James M. (Louise) Pfeister of Falls church, Va.; Mrs. Edgar (Lottie) Weber and Mrs. Ruben J. (Margaret) Kammlah, both of Fredericksburg; two sons, Alfred C. Metzger of San Antonio; Clarence J. Metzger of Houston; four brothers, Felix Stehling, Alvin Stehling and Hugo Stehling, all of Fredericksburg; Louis Stehling of Gulf Port, Miss.; two sisters, Lottie Stehling of Fredericksburg; and Mrs. A. J. (Helen) Hohmann of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
