Clifford passed away on Sunday September 12, 1999 at the age of 85.
The son of `James Harvey and Susie Van Vliet Adams was born November 10, 1913 in Inola. He graduated from Inola High School in 1933 and married Pauline Hinds on November 25th of that same year. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in 1974 he retired from McDonnell-Douglas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the V.F.W., Lions Club, and had been involved in Little League Baseball.

Clifford was preceded in death by sons: William Harvey and Dannie Ray MCFarlin: his parents, brothers, Ralph Wesley, James Harvey, Henry "Luther", and Virgil Byron Adams: and sisters, Mary Louise Adams Louderback and Edith Inola Adams McFarlin.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline O. Adams; son, John Q. Adams and wife Pat of Sun City, AZ; daughter, Deloris Joyce Brunson and husband Garland, of Tulsa; sister, Bonnie Mae Adams Henderson of Inola; daughter-in-law, Georgia McFarlin of Inola; grandsons, Randy Brunson of Atlanta GA, and Rocky Brunson and Doug McFarlin of Tulsa; granddaughters, Rhonda Fernandez of Inola, Sheila Bayles of Bella Vista, AR, Trudi Johnson of Talala, Julie Adams of Tulsa, and Amy McFarlin of Wilmore, KY, four great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday September 16, 1999, in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Higland Cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home.
