Services for Richard Kent Hitt, 50, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Payne Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Chatham officiating.
Burial will follow at Payne Springs Cemetery in Payne Springs under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Hitt died May 14, 2000, in Athens.
He was born Dec. 3, 1949, in Dallas to Hubert Harvey and Martha Lee McLauchlin Hitt.
Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by his mother on April 1, 2000.
Survivors include his father, Hubert Harvey Hitt of Athens; brothers, Jerry Hitt of Richardson and Rusty Hitt of Dallas; nieces, Kathy Taylor of Arlington and Leigh Hitt of Denton; nephew, Russell Collin Hitt of Dallas; and other family members.
