Gale Linn Mathews, 66, Lawson MO, passed away Saturday, January 21 2012, at his farm. Gale was born September 25, 1945 in Orrick, son of Paul J. and Dortha Mae (Hubbard) Mathews.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as an A.P.
He was employed by Lafarge Cement Company and was also a farmer.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Orrick, MO.
On January 9, 1970 he married Doris Elaine Strickler; who survives of the home. Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters: Stacee Lynn Sherwood and husband Edwin of Orrick, MO; and Robin Renee Robinson and husband Timothy of Lawson, MO; brother Dale Mathews and wife Marge of Orrick, MO; sister Pamela Norris and Denise of Orrick; sister-in-law Bonnie Mathews; four grandchildren: Matthew Robinson, Paul Robinson, Jasmine Sherwood, and Charles Sherwood; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends with Masonic Services on Wednesday, January 25 2012, at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
Gale is to be cremated following the visitation.
