Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bladt.

Jacob served as a Torpedoman's Mate, Third Class, U.S.S. Norman Scott (DD-690), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in Glenn Dale, Prince George's County, Maryland prior to the war.

Jacob was "Killed In Action" when the Scott was hit six time by enemy fire in the Battle of Tinian during the war and was awarded a Purple Heart.
