Son of Benjamin and Sarah Bassett Whitney.

Children: 1.) Isaac, 2.) James, 3.) Phoebe, 4.) Samuel, 5.) Electa, 6.) Miranda, 7.) Aaron, 8.) Hiram, 9.) Benjamin, 10.) Zebulon, 11.) Sally and 12.) Polly. Aaron Sr. was a Teamster having served his country during the War of 1812Aaron WHITNEY removed to Chautauqua CO NY and settled on lot 59 which he bought in Oct. 1818, where he still resided (1874)his wife was Electa LEACH His sons were
Isaac, at French Creek
Samuel removed West James, Unmarried at home, Hiram in Mina, wife deceased Aaron, went west, Benjamin in Town and Zebulon, in PA.
Mr Whitney's daughters were;
Phebe, wife of Lorenzo FLOWERS resided Mina
Electa wife of Morgan TANNER of Wattsburg (*Erie Co) PA
Miranda, wife of Jared CHITTENDON, removed to Illinois and died there and another daughter died young;
