N. Darleene Armstrong, age 86, died Thursday, January 19, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines. Darleene was born November 15, 1925 in rural Des Moines the daughter of Lewis and Izetta (Gottschalk) Job. She married Rex Armstrong on August 12, 1946. While in Des Moines, she was active in the Free United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Rex of Washington; daughter, Sharon Armstrong of Washington; three granddaughters and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Job.
