Lucille Gardner Anderson, 85, formerly of Lonesome Pine Trail, died Friday evening at Life Care Center of Greeneville.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and the widow of Vincent "Ted" Anderson, who died Oct. 6, 1995.

She attended Doughty's Chapel Church as her health permitted.

Survivors include two grandsons and their spouses: Terry and Cassie Anderson of Greeneville and Cary and Veronica Anderson of Morristown; five great-grandchildren: Logan Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Braiden Anderson, Jordan Anderson, and Garrett Anderson; one sister: Betty Beach of Greeneville; three sisters-in-law: Charlotte Peters of Greene County, Madge Gardner of Morristown, and Vivian Miser of Greene County; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a former daughter-in-law: Barbara Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her son: James P. Anderson; her parents: Joe and Katie Taylor Gardner; five brothers: Elmer Jay Gardner, Lonzo Gardner, Joe Gardner Jr., Frank Gardner, and an infant; and three sisters: Pearl Rush, Dora Hope, and Bonnie Kirk.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Danny Ellis will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon in New Bethel Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 3 o'clock to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Norman Ricker, John Hardin, Gene Norton, Robert Reaves, Sam Reaves, and Jeff Reaves.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vaughn Reaves, David Reaves, Al Carpenter, Dr. Joe Austin, and the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville
